Barker College 2007 Music Scholarships
Four music scholarships plus a vocal performing scholarship are offered for students entering Year 7 and Year 10. The music scholarships cover up to 50% of the academic tuition fees and 100% of the music instrument tuition. Closing date for applications : 18th February, 2006. Macarthur Anglican School - 2007 Music Scholarships
Macarthur Anglican School has an extensive and flourishing music programme. Scholarships are awarded for students who will commence Year 7, 9 or 11 in 2007. Applicants must sit the A.C.E.R. Scholarship Test on Saturday 13 May 2006 and attend an audition after that. Music scholarships provide the benefit of 50% or 75% or 100% reduction in tuition fees. Recipients must take elective music in Years 9 to 12. Scholarship holders are expected to participate in performance activities and to continue to progress in their study of music. Meridens flourishing co-curricular music programme includes orchestras, bands, choirs, jazz bands and many smaller instrumental ensembles.
Over the past three years, Meridens HSC music students have achieved excellent results, with many being placed in the top band, honours listings for viva voces and compositions, Encore nominations and performances. The Concert Band has won the State Band Championship for the past four years. National and International music tours are held every two years.
Music scholarships covering academic tuition are available to players of piano, band and orchestral instruments for 2008. All music applicants must sit the academic examination.
Candidates will be granted an audition on the strength of their applications, with AMEB Grade 3 being a minimum standard for wind, AMEB Grade 6 a minimum standard for strings and AMEB Grade 7 a minimum standard for piano.
Examination date: Saturday 10 March, 2007
Audition date: Tuesday 20 March, 2007 (by invitation only)

SCEGGS Darlinghurst - 2007 Music Scholarship
The Music Scholarship offered for a student commencing in either Year 10 or Year 11 and covers full tuition fees for the final years of schooling. It is envisaged that applicants will have reached Grade 7 or higher. The school also offers internal scholarships to cover the cost of instrumental tuition from Primary to Year 12.

Music Scholarships provide for remission of half fees to boys entering Year 7 in 2007. Competitive audition for players of orchestral instruments. Minimum AMEB standards or equivalent : Strings - Grade 5 ; Woodwind and Brass - Grade 3 ; Piano Grade 6. Candidates must sit the schools entrance examination which will be held on Thursday 1st June 2006. Closing Date for applications : Friday 3rd March, 2006.
