Australian National Eisteddfod in 2012
The Australian National Eisteddfod invites entries in more than 200 aged based sections - from 6 years and under to open, for solo and group performance and composition competition in voice and instrument. 2012 marks the 63rd Annual Eisteddfod. This year there are six competitions.
* bands and orchestras - concert, jazz, rock & school bands - 24th to 31st May 2012.
* choirs - including the Australian open choral championship - 12th & 13th August 2012
* instrumental and contemporary music - 17th to 19th August 2012
* piano (including open piano recital) - 28th August to 2nd September 2012
* singing (including the national operatic aria competition ) - 10th to 15th September 2012
* speech and drama (including the bard competition & speech choirs) - 3rd to 6th September 2012
